The Balmain Bug is a great Australian themed restaurant in a beautiful heritage listed sandstone building. The walls adorned with Australian art provided by Fine Art Australia. Food that is honest and generous, with flavour and presentation being of utmost importance. The Balmain Bug is now licensed, and offers a range of boutique Australian & New Zealand wines and ports.
Your chefs Paul Cookson and Adam Kerslake create fine food with rustic touches with European and Asian inspirations to satisfy your appetites. Never letting complacency take over head chef and owner Paul designs a clever and contemporary new menu for you and your guests every six to eight weeks to entice you with a delightful balance and harmonic blend of dishes incorporating the best of seasonal produce.
Paul recommends Ravioli of Balmain Bug, Prawn & Salmon, followed by the Certified Australian Angus Scotch Fillet, whilst Adam, the dessert wizard suggests the triple chocolate tart to finish the meal.
