AS the sun goes down and the sky becomes tinged with a spectrum of colours from orange through pink to deep scarlet, it signals time to stop work and start play. Ciel Rouge’s theme echoes this and is redolent throughout the restaurant in the red ceiling, sunset-inspired artworks, deep rouge banquettes and glittering vintage chandeliers. It's sophisticated and demure, conducive to a cocktail, dinner or a glass of wine and a light supper. Comfortable chairs and a relaxed but elegant atmosphere set the perfect scene for romantic twosomes and large groups alike.

The menu focuses on French classics and contemporary Australian fare, offering good value with mains priced at $24-$29.50. The menu changes to reflect the seasons, with chef Damien Wright adding his personal twist to everything from house-baked bread to classics such as duck confit. With stints at acclaimed London Michelin Star restaurants Chez Bruce and Pied a Terre as well as Sydney’s Pier Restaurant, Damien’s food is classic and refreshing, complimented by a well-priced wine list focusing on Australian, New Zealand and French wines.

In the back, you'll find the art deco-inspired lounge bar, which is open late. With its soft lighting and cosy banquettes it’s the perfect place for a pre- or post-dinner drink or just to relax while catching up with friends over a cocktail or two.

Ciel Rouge is open for dinner Tuesday–Saturday from 6pm.
We are available for functions breakfast, lunch or dinner 7 days a week for small and large gatherings, whether corporate events or special occasions. We can accommodate up to 50 guests for a sit-down dinner in the dining room or 100+ guests for a cocktail party. You can also try a combination using our bar for canapés and drinks before sitting down to dinner. We look forward to making your next function a great success.
